We've reorganized the top-left navigation on Group pages to make it easier to do three things:
- See the current status of the group.
- Check a user's current membership information.
- Quickly add content.
Group Status - Group status information appears at the top of the left-side navigation. In a glance, users can see the group type (Public, Private or Cross Company) and the number of group members. Clicking the Members link opens the Members page, which lists all the group's followers. Members that have privileges to invite users to the group will have an additional link (Invite Members) in the navigation area.
User Status - Status information for users also appears in the top of the left-side navigation. Users who are not members of the group will see the Follow This Group link. Members will see two links: Following and Subscribed. The Following link gives members the option to stop following the group. The Subscribed link lets the member set the frequency of their email notifications (Immediate, Daily, Weekly or None) and displays the current setting.
Add Content- The add content actions have been consolidated into a single Add Content drop-down box, users can select the content (Blog Post, Discussion, Poll, Task or Wiki Page) they wish to add.
Admin Privileges - By clicking on More... and selecting Request Admin Privileges, Members can request group administrator status.
Group Admin Changes - Several links and actions for Group Administrators have been reorganized:
- Group Admin status now appears in the You Are: section of the top-left navigation.
- Edit Group now appears on the top right of each group page.
- Trash Group now appears at the bottom of the left-side navigation and allows an Admin User to remove the group from CubeTree.
